Modernization of Port de Toulon Darse Nord

A Project Essential to the Port’s Future

Starting June 1, 2026, the port de Toulon Darse Nord a major transformation phase with the complete renovation of the “Quai de la Péniche” docks. This major project, representing an investment of approximately 1 million euros, marks a decisive step in the port’s modernization and in the sustainable improvement of user facilities and safety conditions.

A project that is essential for the port’s safety and future

Given the aging of the existing infrastructure, these projects aim to ensure the safety of boaters, professionals, and visitors while preparing the port for future uses.

This operation includes:

• the demolition of the two existing concrete pontoons;
• the cutting and removal of nearly 500 m² of concrete deck;
• the installation of two new aluminum floating docks, each 48 meters long

Beyond this renovation, this project marks the starting point for a comprehensive modernization program for port de Toulon Darse Nord. Other major infrastructure improvements will follow shortly, including:

• the installation of a future wave breaker;
• the complete renovation of the dry dock

A more modern, more sustainable port

This project is being carried out in strict compliance with environmental requirements. A comprehensive environmental study has been conducted and approved by all relevant authorities (DDTM and the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolitan Area) to ensure that the work is carried out responsibly, in a controlled manner, and in a way that is compatible with the preservation of the marine environment.

Construction Schedule

• Start of construction: June 1, 2026
• Estimated completion date: late July 2026
