About us

A sustainable course, shared horizons

What will ports look like in one, two, or three decades?
With a long-term vision embodied by its status as a mission-driven company, Maribay Toulon Plaisance a major transformation of the five ports in Toulon's small harbor. Infrastructure modernization, environmental excellence, optimal user satisfaction, and vibrant living spaces: these are the four pillars for building the ports of tomorrow, alongside local stakeholders. Functional, welcoming, sustainable... and resolutely alive.

Building the future by combining vision, responsibility, and local roots: this is our ambition for the five ports of the small harbor. In line with the commitments made when the concession was launched, we are rolling out a long-term strategy based on four priority areas to support the major transitions underway in the port sector.

While some guidelines have already been approved and implemented, others require careful and efficient agreements, which explains why certain investment projects are still under discussion with the Toulon Provence Mediterranean Metropolitan Area.

However, in order to maintain transparency regarding commitments and progress, a description of the work and the associated schedule will be posted on this website shortly.

Modernized ports, adapted to new uses

The world of recreational boating is changing, and so are marinas. Anticipating user expectations, adapting infrastructure to climate change, securing access, improving reception conditions: a vast modernization program is underway across all marinas, with €80 million to be invested by 2030.

Structural projects are already underway: creation of a breakwater pontoon at Darse Nord, a new refueling station at Saint-Mandrier, renovation of the reception office at Vieille Darse, etc. These transformations are part of a gradual process that respects the port's identity and is being led by specialized entities within the Eiffage group.

Exemplary ports in terms of the environment

Committed to Clean Ports and Biodiversity-Active Ports certification, we place the environment at the heart of every project. Promoting biodiversity, reducing water and electricity consumption, using recycled or bio-based materials, producing renewable energy: these are just some of the measures already in place to limit the ecological footprint of ports. The deployment of individual meters, connected showers, and even biohuts in waterways illustrates this desire to set an example. Each project is part of a low-carbon strategy and complies with the strictest environmental standards (see the dedicated section "Focus on the environment").

Services designed for all users

Providing a better welcome and a different kind of service, we are developing port services to meet the current and future needs of users: improved reception, clear signage, digital tools, and redesigned spaces for greater comfort and convenience.

The energy transition for boats is also being anticipated: new projects will take into account the needs associated with alternative propulsion modes (electric, hybrid, biofuels, etc.). Innovation at the service of responsible and easier recreational boating.

Vibrant ports, integrated into their local areas

Ports are no longer closed spaces. We are working to integrate them fully into the local associative, social, cultural, and economic fabric. Hosting nautical events, promoting maritime heritage, organizing activities for all audiences, creating links between land and sea...

Ports are becoming shared living spaces, sources of attraction and pride for residents and visitors alike.
