We are delighted to welcome port de Toulon Vieille Darse Nerrivik port de Toulon Vieille Darse to port de Toulon Vieille Darse —a wonderful initiative by a group of passionate friends from Toulon. Their goal? To organize sailing adventures to better understand marine environments and their evolution.
Who is Mission Nerrivik?
Launched in early 2020, Mission Nerrivik is an ambitious project combining scientific expeditions and education. Aboard their sailboat, they travel to the most remote seas. After Mission Nanuq (exploration of the east coast of Greenland), their next great adventure is Mission Sedna.
Starting in spring 2026, Mission Sedna will take them from the Mediterranean to Iceland, then along the east coast of Greenland. This major expedition will have multiple objectives: scientific (species census, water and sediment sampling to study the impact of climate change), educational (stimulating young people's curiosity), and social. By using a sailboat, they are promoting an environmentally friendly approach to scientific research.
