Maribay Toulon Plaisance proud to welcome the Race for Water Foundation and its scientific campaign, “Posidonia Connect – Mission Italy,” to port de Toulon Vieille Darse on May 27 and 28, 2026.
Come see the impressive zero-emission catamaran, the MODX 70, docked at Carré du Port— learn more about the MODX 70.
This initiative, in partnership with GIS Posidonie, aims to raise awareness among the public and schoolchildren about the critical issues of decarbonizing the maritime sector and preserving the Mediterranean.

ON THE PROGRAM:
Wednesday, May 27: Free Major Lecture (6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
- Location:Salle Mozart (166 Bd Maréchal Leclerc, Toulon)
- Theme:“Odyssées Race for Water & the Posidonia Connect Project.” Discover stories of expeditions, the fight against plastic pollution, and the vital importance of Posidonia seagrass beds.
- Audience: Open to everyone
Thursday, May 28:
- 8:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.: Educational workshops for middle and high school students
- 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.:Press conference aboard the catamaran.
